When you're preparing to perform for the most important man in America, what better way to get excited than to sing?

BroadwayWorld previously reported that President Obama took his daughters Sasha and Malia and two of their friends to see HAMILTON's Saturday matinee, as has been the buzz for a few days now. HAMILTON cast members Phillipa Soo, Renée Elise Goldsberry, and Jasmine Cephas Jones posted a special song to Twitter in honor of the occasion. Check it out below!

BroadwayWorld also reported that HAMILTON star and creator Lin-Manuel Miranda had already made plans to watch the show today rather than perform, giving cast member Javier Muñoz the honor of performing as Alexander Hamilton for the President.

The Obamas have made a particular habit of supporting theatre in New York. Just last week, Michelle and the girls attended KINKY BOOTS and not only stayed through the end of the bows to take it all in, but the First Lady herself even left a sweet note for the cast. HAMILTON is inspired by the book Alexander Hamilton by Ron Chernow and features book, music, and lyrics by Lin-Manuel Miranda, choreography by Andy Blankenbuehler and direction byThomas Kail, who previously collaborated on IN THE HEIGHTS.
