EMMY and GRAMMY Award-winning Hamilton star Jasmine Cephas Jones is kicking off an exciting musical chapter ahead with the release of her new single “Brighter (feat. Kevin Garrett).” She famously breathed life into the dual-role of Maria Reynolds and Peggy Schuyler in Hamilton, staying with the production until the end of 2016.

The trailer for Ava DuVernay’s latest film Origin has been released, featuring Audra McDonald, Myles Frost, and Jasmine Cephas Jones. Starring Aunjanue Ellis-Taylor, the film also includes Jon Bernthal, Niecy Nash-Betts Emily Yancy, Finn Wittrock, Vera Farmiga, Connie Nielsen, Blair Underwood, Nick Offerman, and Stephanie March. Written, produced, and directed by Academy Award nominee Ava DuVernay, Origin chronicles the remarkable life and work of Pulitzer Prize-winning author Isabel Wilkerson (played by Academy Award nominee Aunjanue Ellis-Taylor) as she investigates the genesis of injustice and uncovers a hidden truth that affects us all.

According to various reports, Broadway and television actor Ron Cephas Jones has passed away from a 'longstanding pulmonary issue.' He was 66 years old.

The Original Broadway Cast Recording of Hamilton has become the first Broadway cast recording to be certified diamond by the Recording Industry Association of America. 

Hamilfans need not wait any longer as the Asian premiere of the groundbreaking, mainly sung-through and rapped musical, 'Hamilton,' featuring the music, lyrics, and book by Lin-Manuel Miranda, will commence advance ticket sales on April 20, 2023, at 10 a.m.

In a recent interview on CNBC, Hamilton creator Lin-Manuel Miranda revealed that the film capture of the Broadway production amplified the demand for ticket sales to the show on Broadway. Miranda went on to encourage other producers to release filmed pro-shots of Broadway productions moving forward. 'Hamilton' is now streaming on Disney+.
