Rose Theatre Kingston Presents Stewart Lee, The Comedy Store, Sandi Toksvig and More!

First, acclaimed writer and comedian Stewart Lee presents a mixed stew of unrelated ideas in preparation for his 2014 TV series, Stewart Lee's Comedy Vehicle, at Rose Theatre Kingston this September with his new show, fresh from the Edinburgh Festival, Much A- Stew About Nothing.

Stewart Lee is well known for his stand-up, television, novels, radio and theatre work. He has written for the BBC, The Guardian and other radio, television, newspapers and magazines and has performed as a stand-up comedian all over the world.

Next, The Comedy Store will return to the Rose for the last Sunday of September and October. The Comedy Store residency has been a permanent fixture at the Rose since the theatre first opened in 2008. The September line up will include Ian Moore as MC, Andrew Ryan, Stu Goldsmith and Paul Tonkinson.

Spymonkey present their hilariously anarchic comedy Oedipussy, an outrageous no-holds- barred subversion of the quintessential Greek tragedy from Tue 15 Oct - Sat 19 Oct.

Then, The Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy Radio Show Live! will appear for one night on the Rose stage in October. Featuring Simon Jones as Arthur Dent, The Now Show's Mitch Benn as Zaphod Beeblebrox and a VIP Guest Voice Of The Book to be announced The Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy Radio Show Live! transforms Douglas Adams' masterwork in a live radio stage show filled with laughter and really wild sound effects.

In November Sandi Toksvig presents an evening of stand-up and stories in My Valentine, her sell out UK solo tour celebrating the publication of her novel Valentine Gray. Sandi will be signing copies of her new novel after the show.

Rose Theatre Kingston regularly hosts comedy events and productions and has played host to major comedians including Micky Flanagan, Jeremy Hardy and Sean Locke.
