The stand-up standout who was voted one of Variety's 10 Comics to Watch, Ralphie May will next appear opposite Neil Patrick Harris and Amy Sedaris in the feature film, The Best and The Brightest. After a record-setting three separate 1-hour Comedy Central specials in the past three years, Ralphie's relatable comedic genius is in higher demand than ever. He will headline at The Ridgefield Playhouse on Sunday, November 9, at 8 p.m. in a laugh-out-loud show that is for mature audiences only. Bissell House (378 Main St., Ridgefield) is offering a free glass of house wine or draught beer with dinner the night of this show when tickets/stubs are presented. This event is part of the Clark Construction Comedy Series.

Since his debut on season one of Last Comic Standing, audiences can't get enough of the larger than life comedian. Ralphie's love of hip-hop culture has earned him roles in such films as For Da Love Of Money and Gas. He was also the only white comedian to perform on The Big Black Comedy Show. On the small screen, Ralphie has worked as a writer and producer on ESPN's Mohr Sports starring Jay Mohr and performed stand-up on numerous late night talk shows including The Late Late Show w/ Craig Kilborn, Jimmy Kimmel Live, and The Tonight Show w/ Jay Leno. He has appeared on The Man Show and MTV's Bash as well as guest-starred on NBC's Whoopie.

In the words of a fan who saw Ralphie May in concert this past summer, "Every time he comes to town I go see him. He's so hysterical each time I leave with smeared makeup and stomach cramps from laughing so hard. Highly recommended."

For tickets ($45), call the box office at 203-438-5795, or visit ridgefieldplayhouse.org. The Ridgefield Playhouse is a non-profit performing arts center located at 80 East Ridge, parallel to Main Street, Ridgefield, CT.
