NBC's TAKEN is Most-Watched New Drama Debut Since October

The premiere of NBC's TAKEN(1.6/6 in 18-49, 7.4 million viewers overall from 10-11 p.m. ET)is the most-watched new drama premiere anywhere on television since early October ("Timeless" on Monday, Oct. 3, 2016, 7.597 million, excludes Fox's post-Super Bowl revival of "24"). Tops the prior seven new drama premieres on the Big 4 in 18-49 (including the regular-slot premiere of Fox's revival of "24"). Wins the 10 p.m. hour among ABC, CBS and NBC in every key measure. Delivers a +45% margin of victory among those nets in adults 18-49 (1.6 vs. 1.1 for CBS' "Scorpion). Jumps +33% versus NBC's average in the slot this season (1.6 vs. 1.2, L+SD non-sports). Is close to rounding up to a 1.7 (currently reporting a 1.64 in these prelim fast-affiliate ratings). Scores NBC's regular-program highs in the slot since Oct. 3 in 18-49 and total viewers.

The debut of "The Voice 12" (3.1/11 in 18-49, 13.0 million viewers overall from 8-10 p.m. ET): Jumps +24% above where the show closed its prior cycle in 18-49 (3.1 vs. 2.5 for the fall finale on Tuesday, Dec. 13, 2016) and +7% in total viewers (12.990 million vs. 12.139 million). Scores the show's highest rating since Tuesday, Sept. 27 in 18-49 (3.3) and biggest overall viewership in nearly a year, since Tuesday, March 8 (13.536 million). Is the #1 show of the night in 18-49 and total viewers. Wins the time period among the Big 4 networks in every key measure. Wins the time period by a +94% margin among the Big 4 in 18-49 (3.1 vs. 1.6 for ABC) and by +99% or +6.5 million persons in total viewers (12.990 million vs. 6.531 million for CBS). Retains 94% of its prior debut in 18-49 (3.1 vs. 3.3 on Sept. 19, 2016) and grows +7% in total viewers (12.990 million vs. 12.104 million) Retains 91% of its year-ago debut in 18-49 (3.1 vs. 3.4 on Feb. 29, 2016) and 97% in total viewers (12.990 million vs. 13.332 million) Beats last night's edition of "The Bachelor" by a +21% margin head to head from 8-9 p.m. in 18-49 (2.9 vs. 2.4) and by +4.6 million viewers overall (12.256 million vs. 7.701 million from 8-9 p.m.).


In Late-Night Metered Markets Monday Night: In Nielsen's 56 metered markets, household results were: "The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon," 2.2/6; "Late Show with Stephen Colbert," 2.5/7; and ABC's "Jimmy Kimmel Live," 2.6/7.

In the 25 markets with Local People Meters, adult 18-49 results were: "The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon," 0.7/4; "Late Show," 0.6/3; and "Jimmy Kimmel Live," 0.8/4.

From 12:35-1:05 a.m. ET, ABC's "Nightline" averaged a 1.6/5 in metered-market households and a 0.4/3 in 18-49 in the Local People Meters.

From 12:35-1:35 a.m. ET, "Late Night with Seth Meyers" (1.2/5 in metered-market households) beat CBS's "Late Late Show" (1.1/4). In the 25 markets with Local People Meters, "Late Night" (0.4/3 in 18-49) topped "Late Late Show" (0.3/2).

At 1:35 a.m., "Last Call with Carson Daly" averaged a 0.8/3 in metered-market households and a 0.3/3 in adults 18-49 in the 25 markets with local people meters.
