NBC's AMERICA'S GOT TALENT Grows +17% vs Prior Wednesday in Key Demo

NBC wins the night in 18-49 and total viewers. NBC has now won 20 consecutive nights among the Big 4 in both 18-49 and total viewers, tying the longest total-viewer winning streak in people meter history, with 20 consecutive nightly wins being previously accomplished by NBC from Aug. 8-27, 2008 and from July 18-Aug. 6, 1996.

"America's Got Talent" (2.1/8 in 18-49, 10.5 million viewers overall from 9-10 p.m. ET): Jumps +17% vs. its prior Wednesday telecast in 18-49 (2.1 vs. 1.8 from 8-9 p.m. on Aug. 3) and +12% in total viewers (10.476 million vs. 9.390 million).

Is up +31% vs. the same night last year (2.1 vs. 1.6 from 8-9 p.m. on Aug. 26, 2015 on Aug. 26, 2015) and +24% in total viewers (10.476 million vs. 8.463 million), despite this being the first "Talent" Wednesday telecast in three weeks.

Is the #1 show of the night in adults 18-49, total viewers, adults 25-54 and all key adult-male demos.

Will add substantial viewership via time-shifting and VOD - Wednesday's "America's Got Talent" has increased by +34% this summer in 18-49 rating (from a 2.16 to a 2.89) and 2.4 million viewers overall (10.7 million to 13.1 million) going from L+SD to L+7.

"The Night Shift" (1.1/4 in 18-49, 5.6 million viewers overall from 10-11 p.m. ET): Grows +22% vs. its prior telecast in 18-49 (1.1 vs. 0.9 from 9-10 p.m. on Aug. 3) and +12% in total viewers (5.588 million vs. 5.005 million), despite being preempted the previous two weeks.

An encore recap telecast of "America's Got Talent" (1.4/6 in 18-49, 7.2 million viewers overall from 8-9 p.m. ET): Beats an original "Big Brother" head to head in total viewers (7.2 million vs. 6.4 million).

Is the #2 most-watched show of the night in total viewers on the Big 4 nets, behind only the original "Talent" at 9 p.m.

Last night, "The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon" averaged a 2.3 rating, 6 share in household results from the 56 markets metered by Nielsen Media Research and a 0.7/4 in 18-49 in the 25 markets with local people meters.

The 0.7 in 18-49 equals Wednesday's combined 18-49 ratings of "Jimmy Kimmel Live" (0.4) and "The Late Show with Stephen Colbert" (0.3).

On all three nights since Jimmy Fallon's return after the Olympic break, he's now equaled or beaten the combined ratings of Kimmel and Colbert in the local people meters.

Jimmy Fallon's guests Wednesday night were Aaron Paul, Tig Notaro and musical guest Florida Georgia Line.

At 12:35 a.m. ET, "Late Night with Seth Meyers" delivered a 1.2/4 in metered-market households and a 0.4/3 in 18-49 in the local people meters.

The 0.4 ties Kimmel (0.4) and tops Colbert (0.3) in 18-49 in the local people meters, despite "Late Night" starting an hour later than Kimmel or Colbert.

The 0.4 quadruples "Late Late Show" head-to-head (1.4 vs. 1.1)

Seth Meyers' Wednesday guests were Robert De Niro, Jerome Bettis and musical guest Anthrax.

At 1:35 a.m. ET, a rebroadcast "Last Call with Carson Daly" averaged a 0.7/3 in metered-market households and a 0.2/2 in 18-49 in the local people meters

The 0.2 out-rates CBS's original "The Late Late Show with James Corden" (0.1) in 18-49 in the local people meters, despite the "Last Call" encore starting an hour later than Corden.

Carson Daly's guests Wednesday night were W. Kamau Bell, Elliphant and James Wan.

In Late-Night Metered Markets Wednesday Night: In Nielsen's 56 metered markets, household results were: "The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon," 2.3/6; "Late Show with Stephen Colbert," 1.9/5; and ABC's "Jimmy Kimmel Live," 1.5/4.

In the 25 markets with Local People Meters, adult 18-49 results were: "The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon," 0.7/4; "Late Show," 0.3/2; and "Jimmy Kimmel Live," 0.4/2.

From 12:35-1:05 a.m. ET, ABC's "Nightline" averaged a 1.1/4 in metered-market households and a 0.3/2 in 18-49 in the Local People Meters.

From 12:35-1:35 a.m. ET, "Late Night with Seth Meyers" (1.2/4 in metered-market households) beat CBS's "Late Late Show" (0.9/3). In the 25 markets with Local People Meters, "Late Night" (0.4/3 in 18-49) topped "Late Late Show" (0.1/1).

At 1:35 a.m., "Last Call with Carson Daly" averaged a 0.7/3 in metered-market households and a 0.2/2 in adults 18-49 with an encore in the 25 markets with local people meters.
