Marin Shakespeare Company, Marin County's professional, awarding-winning outdoor summer Shakespeare festival, announces its 2015 season featuring "Cymbeline," a new adaptation of "Don Quixote" and Shakespeare's masterpiece, "Richard III."

This year the festival will feature a non-repertory schedule, with designated performance runs for each production.

Robert Currier directs Marin Shakespeare Company's first presentation of "Cymbeline." This magical, romantic comedy follows a pair of lovers on an medieval adventure of passion, potions, infidelity, war, disguises and revelation. The production features Stella Heath as Imogen, Paul Abbott as Cymbeline, Thomas Gorrebeeck as Posthumus/Cloten and Debi Durst as Cornelius. Performances are June 26 to July 26, 2015.

In his first appearance with Marin Shakespeare Company, award-winning actor Ron Campbell stars as Miguel de Cervantes' iconic dreamer in the national premiere of a new adaptation of "Don Quixote," by Peter Anderson and Colin Heath. Campbell, who toured as "The King of the Clowns" in Cirque du Soleil's "Kooza," is also known for his solo work in "R. Buckminster Fuller" and "The Thousandth Night." Directed by Lesley Schisgall Currier and co-starring John R. Lewis as Sancho Panza, with a cast of five actors playing a variety of roles, this re-imagined, madcap version of "Don Quixote" will be delightfully funny, touching and inspiring for all ages. Performances are July 31 to Aug. 30, 2015.

With the recent royal burial of his remains at Leicester Cathedral, the timing couldn't be more appropriate for a Marin Shakespeare Company production of "Richard III." Robert Currier directs the Bard's masterpiece, which paints a portrait of "Richard III" as a calculating, ruthless titular king driven by political ambition. Aidan O'Reilly stars as the maniacal Richard III, arguably Shakespeare's most introspective, sardonic and enthralling character. Performances are Sept. 4 to Sept. 27, 2015.

Performances are presented outdoors Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays at Forest Meadows Amphitheatre, located on the campus of Dominican University of California in San Rafael, Calif. The amphitheater opens one hour prior to show time for picnicking. Audiences are encouraged to bring picnics or purchase snacks at the Theatre Cafe. Warm clothing, jackets and blankets are recommended for evening performances. Parking is free.

Season tickets are $81 general; $69 senior; and $30 youth and include admission to any one performance of each play, reserved seating and complimentary seat cushion.

Admission at the door is $35 general; $32 senior; and $10 youth. Preview performances are $12 per person. New this year, the $10 youth price will apply to anyone age 25 or younger; "Pay Your Age" is offered to audience members between the ages of 26 and 34 when purchasing tickets at the Box Office on the day of any performance, with valid identification. Marin Shakespeare Company also offers those 65 and over half-price tickets at Senior Matinees and those ages 18 and under are admitted free at Family Matinee performances.

Free pre-show and post-show conversations with a company artist or scholar are presented on select performance dates. Pre-show Shakespeare Dinners are presented at 6:30 p.m. on select Saturdays for an additional $35 for a catered dinner and intimate pre-show talk. Wine, beer and soft drinks are available for sale, or bring your own. Shakespeare Dinner reservations are required at least 2 hours in advance.
