Author Luby Martin, writing under the penname Jolomark Retunah, believes a person's name can shape his or her destiny. In his new book, "The Half Have Never Been Told" (published by AuthorHouse), he explains his theories and points to historical examples of name coincidences, oddities and parallels.

Retunah looks to the Bible and American history to show how names have played a role in deciding American's future. He discusses strange coincidence like the many parallels between Presidents Lincoln and Kennedy's lives and presidencies 100 years apart. He says many journalist and authors have written about these parallels, but he adds that unlike himself (with his gift after a religious experience), he explains why these coincidences exist.

"The Half Have Never Been Told" also describes the religious experiences Retunah says he had throughout his lifetime. Those experiences, he says, shaped his religious beliefs and led him to the conclusions he makes in his book.

The book also offers Retunah's perspective on same-sex marriage. He aims to provide a fresh perspective on the subject that he hopes readers on both sides of the issue will find thought provoking. Through his book, Retunah hopes to show readers that a name is much more than just a tool of distinction.

An excerpt from "The Half Have Never Been Told":

"With that being said, are the names Steve Reeves, George Reeves, Christopher Reeve and Keanu Reeves familiar to you? They're not related, but they all are actors who played super-human roles."
