This Rock and Roll musical laced with great Welsh humour and charm is guaranteed to have audiences up on their feet in celebration of this living legend's story."

Step back in time to the dance halls, working men's clubs and recording studios of the '60s where the legend of Tom Jones was born: a Valleys boy with a heart-stopping voice who dreamed of making the big time, no matter what it took.

This inspirational story of self-belief and determination is performed live on stage by a phenomenal cast of actors and musicians, celebrating an ordinary man with an extraordinary talent who became a superstar on a world stage.

Featuring hits of the era including 'Ghost Riders in the Sky', 'Spanish Harlem' and 'Lucille', we track Tom's climb to stardom. Ending with some the hits that made him one of the most charismatic stars of the day: 'It's Not Unusual', 'Delilah', 'Green, Green Grass of Home', 'What's New Pussycat' and more.

TOM. A STORY OF TOM JONES. THE MUSICAL was first seen on 1 March 2014 in the singer's birthplace, Pontypridd.

Theatr na nÓg was established in 1982 to produce theatre for a wide spectrum of audiences throughout Wales in a variety of venues and locations in both languages. The literal translation of Theatr na nÓg is theatre of eternal youth and this encapsulates the ethos of the Company by creating theatre that has the power to excite and engage audiences of all ages. Theatr na nÓg has continued to receive funding to achieve this core objective from the Arts Council of Wales (ACW). This on-going support, and support from other stakeholders, has enabled a consistently high quality programme of theatre to be provided to audiences across Wales.

The Company is a regular provider of main stage work throughout the country and continues to expand its portfolio of venues. Theatr na nÓg continues to evolve from being a company that solely produces work for schools to being recognised by the Arts Council of Wales as one of their producing theatre companies that will be encouraged to produce work to a variety of audiences throughout Wales and beyond.

Theatr na nÓg is now an Associate Company to the Wales Millennium Centre. This enables the Company to produce new work for a broad range of audience, and to raise its profile on an international stage. Its collaborations with non-arts specific organisations such as the Natural History Museum, London, Swansea Museum, The National Museum of Wales, The National Botanic Gardens of Wales, Singapore Science Centre has enabled Theatr na nÓg to reach out to a wider audience with a diverse range of subjects, using theatre to highlight the importance of scientific and historic themes.
