Illegal Pete's, Denver Relief, Sexy Pizza, Odell Brewing Co., and Drambuie are excited to announce the inaugural High Plains Comedy Festival, taking place August 23-24 in Denver, Colorado. Intended to celebrate Denver's amazing local comedy scene while elevating it nationally, the festival will combine some of the city's finest talent with some of the world's finest talent for a two-day comedy extravaganza on historic South Broadway. Recently the national and local lineup was announced, as well as the festival guide. Kyle Kinane, Matt Braunger and Kurt Braunholer headline The Grawlix Saturday from 7-9 pm, followed by headliner Reggie Watts from 10pm - 12 am (both at the Gothic Theater).

"High Plains Comedy Festival will be crammed with Denver talent," says festival co-curator Andy Juett, "allowing the country's best to be elbow-to-elbow with our best. It's hard to tell which is which to the casual comedy fan because Denver comics are killers with fanbases too."

"It's kind of this insider secret amongst comedians that Denver is an amazing comedy town," explains festival co-curator Cayton-Holland. "We hope this festival exposes that fact to a much larger audience across the country by casting a spotlight on our great scene."
