Saturday, September 27th, The Comedy Collective brings together the area's best improvisers at the Midtown Art Center.

"The Houston improv scene is rapidly expanding like a college freshman at an all-you-can-eat buffet!" says Jamie Meeks, founder of the Comedy Collective, and the show's co-producer. "With so many new troupes and limited places to perform, the Comedy Collective is creating a place to highlight the best emerging talent in the scene, and offer a collaborative space for them to perform."

Leveraging relationships with the best improv theaters in Houston and beyond, Jamie handpicked the lineup. Headliners, Baby Knuckle and Ophelia's Rope, have been performing together for over 5 years and have great chemistry. The other teams showcase interesting and unique forms.

The evening opens with a 7pm set featuring Watson & Watson, Austin's Gigglepants, and Baby Knuckle. The final show at 9pm leads with Youngbloods, followed by Our Quarter Life Crisis, and closes the night with Ophelia's Rope.

The evening is sponsored by No Label Brewing Co. and free beer will be provided. Water and light snacks will be available for a nominal fee.

Shows take place at the Midtown Art Center at 3414 LaBranch Street. Tickets to individual shows are $10 online or $12 at the door. Visit http://cc914.brownpapertickets.com more information and to purchase tickets.
