Jonah Ray and Kumail Nanjiani are delivering the "best stand-up comedy show in Los Angeles" directly to you as Comedy Central has ordered a new stand-up series, THE MELTDOWN WITH JONAH AND KUMAIL, it was announced today by Kent Alterman, President, Content Development and Original Programming, COMEDY CENTRAL. The series is executive produced by Ray, Nanjiani, Emily Gordon and Red Hour's Ben Stiller, Stuart Cornfeld, Debbie Liebling and Mike Rosenstein and will spotlight today's hottest comedians on and off-stage. Jonas Larsen and Toni Magon are the Executives in Charge of Production for COMEDY CENTRAL.

"Of all the comedy shows on Comedy Central that are taped in the back of a comic book store, this will be the best one," said Ray, Nanjiani and Gordon.

"I'm shocked to learn this show will be taped in the back of a comic book store, rather than a comedy store, but we'll do it anyway," added Alterman.

Named "the epicenter of LA's alt-comedy scene" by The Hollywood Reporter, The Meltdown with Jonah and Kumail takes place in the back of Meltdown Comics on Sunset Blvd. Hosted by Ray and Nanjiani, each episode of "The Meltdown with Jonah and Kumail," as developed for COMEDY CENTRAL, will feature some of the hottest stand-up comedians performing onstage and go behind-the-scenes with them as they hang out in the greenroom with a veritable who's who from the comedy scene. Previous comics to hit The Meltdown weekly, live show have included Robin Williams, Louie CK, Ed Helms, AZIZ ANSARI, Donald Glover, Jeff Ross, David Spade, Marc Maron, Dana Gould, Maria Bamford and Brian Posehn.
