CSz Philadelphia is giving its loyal fans a chance to ring in the New Year twice. Each year, Philadelphia's leading improv show, ComedySportz, celebrates the New Year twice for New Year's Improvin' Eve. The shows are at 7:30 p.m. (All-Ages) and 10:30 p.m. on Wednesday, December 31 at the Playground at the Adrienne, 2030 Sansom Street. Tickets cost $35 for adults and $30 for Students, Seniors, and Military members. The ticket price includes the show, party favor, refreshments including pizza, and a sparkling cider toast. Tickets are available online at www.comedysportzphilly.com.

Each year, ComedySportz's New Year's Eve matches feature rarely played games and an appearance by Baby New Year. The 7:30 p.m. show involves a countdown when it hits midnight in Brazil. The first show is perfect for All-Ages. The 10:30 p.m. show is perfect for audiences ages 18 and up. It will include a midnight countdown.

"This is one of our favorite shows to do because we pull out all of the secret games we keep locked away for special shows," said CSz Philadelphia Executive Director Don Montrey. "Games like Spit Take, Game-o-matic and the exciting Oxygen Deprivation where a player has to keep their head underwater while their teammates do a scene. Our fans love it!"

CSz Philadelphia is the producer of ComedySportz, Philadelphia's longest-running improv comedy show. Since 1993 ComedySportz has been entertaining fans with the fastest and funniest form of improv comedy ever seen. Two teams of improvisers vie for points in a hilarious competition by playing a series of improv games, similar to what audiences may have seen on TV's Whose Line Is It Anyway? A referee governs the action, calling fouls and keeping the match moving at a blistering pace. The audience is always a part of the interactive show, and audience volunteers sometimes even wind up on stage!
