Comic Bruce Bruce brings his larger than life comedy style and improv skills to the Suncoast Showroom this weekend, May 24 and 25.

Known for adult comedy, Bruce Bruce prides himself on not using vulgarity to win a laugh. He hit the stage for the first time at the Comedy Act Theater in Atlanta, and when BET's "Coast to Coast" came to town searching for new talent, Bruce auditioned at every club where the show was holding auditions (and ended up appearing on the show three times).

In 1993, Bruce appeared for the first time on HBO's "Def Comedy Jam," followed by an appearance in 1994 on "Showtime at the Apollo," hosted by Steve Harvey, where he returned twice in 1995. Bruce's career jumped into high gear as host of "BET's Comic View" for two seasons, followed by a role as two-time host of "Coming to the Stage."

Bruce went on to star in his own "Comedy Central Presents" special, followed by a release of a 2003 one-hour comedy special DVD "Bruce Bruce Live," 2011 Showtime special "Bruce Bruce: Losin' It," and his most recent DVD release, "Losin' It: Live from Boston."

Bruce has created crazy characters on the big screen in films "Hair Show," starring Mo'Nique, and "The Wash," starring Snoop Dogg and Dr. Dre. He also appeared in "Larry the Cable Guy: Health Inspector," "xxx: State of the Union," "Who's Your Caddy?" and the 2012 hit "Think Like a Man."

Music fans know Bruce Bruce from his various guest appearances in music videos with Ludacris, the Ying Yang Twins, Quad City DJ's and Outkast.

Showtime each evening is 7:30 p.m. Tickets are available from $15.95, plus tax and convenience fees. Tickets can be purchased at any Boyd Gaming Box Office, by calling 702.636.7075 or visiting www.suncoastcasino.com.
