In an unusual development, an All-Star concert will take place on January 9th to help raise funds for another All-Star show that will take place just two-a-half weeks later. The first show, "I Love The Nightlife" will be a 90 minute spectacular that will include a post show party. It will take place at 7 PM on Thursday, January 9th in the Jerry Orbach Theater at the Snapple Center on 50th Street and Broadway (upstairs where The Fantasticks has been playing).
Among the stars that will be performing are Karen Akers (Tony Nominee), Charles Busch (Tony Nominee), Jim Caruso (2X Nightlife Award Winner), Scott Coulter (2X Nightlife Award Winner, Gregg Edelman (4X Tony Nominee), Adam Feldman (Distinguished Critic from Time Out NY and Singer), Debbie Gravitte (Tony Winner),Maxine Linehan (Nightlife Star: "An American Journey"), William Michals (Emile de Beque in Lincoln Center Production of South Pacific), Carolyn Montgomery-FORANT (Nightlife Award Winner), Elizabeth Stanley(Broadway and Nightlife Star), In a statement, Nightlife Award Executive Producer Scott Siegel said, "It's crazy to be raising money for a show even as we're preparing to put it on, but I am very grateful to Carolyn Montgomery-Forant for suggesting this benefit at The Snapple Center as a way of helping to fund the Nightlife Awards at The Town Hall. I am, of course, also deeply grateful to all of the great talent that has volunteered to be part of it, with more and more joining the list even though this is being created with very short notice.
