Houston Symphony Presents Jeffrey Kahane in A MOZART THANKSGIVING

The Houston Symphony welcomes veteran soloist and conductor Jeffrey Kahane back to Jones Hall to delight audiences with A MOZART THANKSGIVING at 8 p.m. November 25 and 26, and 2:30 p.m. November 27.

Known for his truly versatile style, Kahane is recognized by audiences around the world for his mastery of a diverse repertoire and for being one of today's most admired Mozart interpreters. He made his conducting debut at the Oregon Bach Festival in 1988, conducting a Mozart concerto from the keyboard. In the 2005-06 season, he performed all 23 of the Mozart piano concertos as part of the Los Angeles Chamber Orchestra's celebration of the 250th anniversary of the composer's birth.

Kahane will play the piano and conduct the all-Mozart program on Thanksgiving weekend, which includes the composer's charming Piano Concerto No. 21, his dramatic Piano Concerto No. 24 and his delightful "Prague" Symphony.
