Odell Williams, an African-American man seeking a new beginning in corporate America, struggles to understand the unwritten rules of corporate life. In "The Foundation: We Are Our Own Worst Enemy" (published by Archway Publishing), Odell begins his journey with the simple wish to repay the sacrifices his mother made to send him to college. Along the way, he encounters roadblocks and landmines as he fights for success in a vicious environment of deceit and betrayal.

"I had a tremendous corporate career (with) five Fortune 500 companies, working in eleven U.S. cities and thirteen different countries," author Zeno D. Edwards explains. "During my thirty-three year tenure in corporate America, I've witnessed so many fascinating tales, some good and some bad, and I learned a lot of lessons regarding the human spirit. 'The Foundation' affords me the opportunity to share my stories with the world."

Providing insight into corporate America for business professionals and college students, "The Foundation" spans Odell's 22-year journey, introducing readers to a cast of characters who represent both the good and bad found in corporate life.

"Millions of people go to work every day dreading the daily politics that they must endure to survive in their workplace, not only in corporate America but in churches, schools, government institutions, hospitals, etcetera," Edwards says. "'The Foundation' will appeal to (those) people who go to work every day, thinking about the games and politics that they must play to survive in their working environment."
