Author and screenwriter Zach Bliss presents an intriguing tale of friendship, integrity and adventure in his new fiction book, "Wild Beast Cat" (published by Xlibris).

"The story is engaging, adventurous and surprisingly educational," Bliss says. "And it's about friendship, which is universally relevant."

The protagonist, Chris, isn't too excited about his family purchasing a cottage on Lake Frio, specifically because of the lore of a terrorizing six-toed cat that's devouring small animals in the area. Of course, his curiosity gets the better of him, and he teams up with Jesse, a local girl - one Chris soon develops a crush on- to discover the truth behind the myth of the Wild Beast Cat.

On their adventurous journey to find the infamous Wild Beast Cat, Jesse introduces Chris to Old Man Stick, who tells them the cat's fascinating history and an unlikely connection it has to the great writer, Ernest Hemingway. Old Man Stick also warns the two youths to watch out for Rodney, a crooked animal control worker with the worst of intentions.

As Chris and Jesse's friendship buds, their adventure teaches the duo, and readers alike, about foreign cultures and the importance of telling the truth.
