Author Wilma R. Forester's debut novel "The Adventures of Nagel of Ancient Babylonia" (published by Trafford Publishing), takes readers back to ancient Babylonia for a coming-of-age story that celebrates the triumphs of the human spirit.

"This book shows our human needs to be loved and successful are unchanging over the history of the world," says Forester.

Nagel is a timid, yet determined young boy living in ancient Babylonia. To prove himself and discover his roots Nagel sets out on an adventure and encounters some new friends, who help him find the courage and spirit within himself.

Poignant and humorous at times, "The Adventures of Nagel of Ancient Babylonia" recreates ancient Babylonia before the reader's eyes. Forester carefully researched the era and culture, in hopes of giving her readers an accurate depiction of Nagel's time.

Forester hopes to instill in her readers a "love of adventure and a passion for life".

An excerpt from "The Adventures of Nagel of Ancient Babylonia":

"By now the run was fully up and sparkled like fractured crystals across the river. His little brown mare stepped out with a steady beat. He felt the powerful muscles in her shoulders rise and fall as her hard round hoofs dug into the sand. He wondered how fast she could go and if he could say on?"
