In "Democracy Becoming As One" (published by WestBow Press), author Willard Hetrick explains where democracy began and how it works for everyone to give Americans freedom. Inspired by the battle of religion and democracy, Hetrick includes information about laws and how they should be used as guidelines for society.

"Belief in God should not be forced upon people and moral laws do not mean that you believe in a god or gods," Hetrick says. "(The book) makes the point that democracy is important to all people because it gives freedom of choice."

Hetrick uses the characters of Abraham and Moses and historical references to illustrate his exploration of religion and democracy. "(The book) allows believers and non-believers to live in peace with the freedom of choice and decision making."

An excerpt from "Democracy Becoming As One":
True knowledge gives us faith for a good future as a free country and only true knowledge should be used in making our laws.
