About the Authors

The Graphic Designer's Guide to Portfolio Design, 3rd Edtion
Debbie Rose Meyers, MFA, EdS, is a professor of graphic design, advertising, and web design at the Art Institute of Fort Lauderdale in Florida, where she also teaches portfolio design courses and develops curricula for graphic design and multimedia programs.

Graphic Design School: The Principles and Practice of Graphic Design, 5th Edition
David Dabner, London, England, has taught in the UK at the renowned London College of Printing and served as Course Director for the UK's Higher National Diploma in Typographic Design. David is also the author of How to Use and Understand Design and Layout.

Sandy Stewart, Philadelphia, PA, is the Associate Dean for Academics at Drexel University's Westphal College of Media Arts & Design, where she was the recipient of the Allen Rothwarf Award for Excellence in Teaching. Sandy has also co-owned an award-winning graphic design firm, Concept 3 Design, for ten years, and is an active freelancer, with clients including Fortune 500 companies, national magazines, and museums.

Eric Zempol, Philadelphia, PA, is a graphic designer and instructor at Drexel University specializing in digital and web design techniques. Eric is the recipient of the 2009 AdobeMAX Award for best demonstrated used of their software applications.

Type Rules: The Designer's Guide to Professional Typography, 4th Edition
Ilene Strizver is the founder of The Type Studio in Westport, Connecticut. She writes and teaches extensively on typography. During her career, she's been creative and production director of Upper & lower case (U&lc) Magazine and director of typeface development at International Typeface Corporation (ITC) in New York City, where she developed more than 300 text and display typefaces with respected type designers such as Sumner Stone, Erik Spiekermann, Jill Bell, Jim Parkinson, and the late Phill Grimshaw. Ilene writes the popular column, "fy(t)i: For Your Typographic Information" for fonts.com, as well as "TypeTalk" for creativepro.com. She conducts her widely acclaimed Gourmet Typography workshops internationally and teaches at SVA. In late 2011 Ilene launched Typecast Webinars.
