Feeling the love between characters Andy and Lorrie needed to be taken to a new level, author Vernon Bargainer decided to continue their story from "It Is Morning" in "I Remember Running: Sequel to 'It Is Morning'" (published by iUniverse).

"'I Remember Running' is a story about freedom," says Bargainer. "It is the tale of a wearying race against formidable odds that will never be within the grasp of Lorrie."

After hiding away for 14 years in witness protection, Lorie makes a daring reappearance to rejoin her sweetheart. But, at their wedding, she is kidnapped. Now, confined again in the vile hands of hardcore criminals, she questions whether she will ever know freedom and, more fearfully, whether she will even live to seek it. When all seems lost, she finds herself running for dear life. Will she make it back into the arms of her love?

An excerpt from the book:

"Lorrie Dean stood at the window, tears spilling over her face and slipping into the corners of her mouth, as she watched Andy pitch his shaving gear into the passenger seat. She tried simply to blink away the tears, as she watched him linger by his car, his arm draped across the top of it, looking toward the house. He looked like a little boy who had just been kicked off the soccer team."
