Author Tricia Rintoul saw parenting as the most important job of her life and she had great results doing it. The family was imperative to her because of her nursing profession. The increase in family breakdowns prompted her to write "A Good Family" (published by Xlibris), the story of her own family.

In this candid autobiography, Rintoul who is a nurse by profession tells her story by emphasizing reality. She reveals how important trust is and how indifferent life can be without it. She loved her profession, her volunteer work and all the friends she has gained along the way up to this day as a 70-year-old lady.

"This book was written over many cups of coffee, comparing dysfunctional families to good values and giving back to society to find out how good men and a small amount of women leaders are from good role models and families," Rintoul says.

Rintoul has written "A Good Family" because she believed her parents provided a great family to be born into. Through her story, she hopes readers will be reminded about how important good parenting is to form good values and principles and instill empathy to make a kinder, gentler society. She noted that happiness, fun, laughter, love and all the good things result from a great family with excellent role models, insight and exemplary parental guidance.
