Throughout history, benevolent beings known as angels have been used in all forms of religion and literature to symbolize God's eternal vigilance over his children. Indeed angels can be found in Christian, Jewish cultures where they are tasked with protecting their charges from harm. In "Timothy," author Linda McCarthy Shum has written a touching story of a young boy and his guardian angel.

"Timothy" tells of a young boy named Timothy who, after living a painful and traumatic life, escapes with the help of his guardian angel Lemuel. The angel soon leads Timothy through all kinds of life changing adventures. These adventures soon leads Timothy through many challenges such as surviving in the Australian bush, traveling to a village in China and finding a home in Dallas. And as they journey through the harsh terrain of reality, the angel teaches Timothy how to overcome the obstacles in his life. This beautiful work of fiction shows readers that good will always overcome evil and that salvation is always at hand.

This beautiful story of faith was inspired by the author's years of teaching and her experiences in China where she helped in the creation of C.O.A.T (Chinese Orphans Assistance Team), a non-profit organization dedicated to the care of orphans in China. The profits from this book will be used by C.O.A.T to help care for orphans in COAT run foster homes called "Eagles Wings" homes and run a school for special needs children from Eaagles Wings and other local foster homes.. "Timothy" is a touching tribute to orphans all over the world.
