It is a well-known fact that no two people are the same, and that everyone has a distinct trait that makes them different. It could be the way they talk, the color of their skin or the shape of their eyes. These differences are okay because everyone is unique and special in their own way. But sometimes such differences can cause trouble and misunderstanding. In "Timmy and Mazie," author Jessica Welsh uses her literary talents to impart the value of tolerance to children all over the world.

The book revolves around the story of siblings, "Timmy and Mazie." It tells of their normal day-to-day lives and how they like to spend their time. It shows that Timmy likes to go out and play, climbing trees and pretending he is an adventurer; while Mazie, although she also loves to play outside, prefers to lie on top of the grass, smelling flowers and observing the beauty of nature. Both also love to read, yet they also have different ways of enjoying books. Timmy likes to live his fantasies as a pirate or explorer while Mazie prefers to use her imagination to travel to far away kingdoms. The two are quite different from one another yet they love being together. This book is a well crafted children's book that radiates childish innocence and fun. It is great for kids because it shows them that although people might be different and may act strangely, it does not mean that one cannot be friends with them.

A fun and educational book, "Timmy and Mazie" shows kids the importance of tolerance and accepting people for who they are.
