Telemundo's LA VOZ KIDS Kick Off Battle Rounds with 5 Contestants Moving On

TELEMUNDO's "La Voz Kids" kicked off the challenging "Battle Rounds" last Sunday with the outstanding performance by co-host Patricia Manterola singing her new song "Alalaleo," alongside co-host Jorge Bernal playing the drums. Prior to the start of this new phase of the singing competition, Coaches Daddy Yankee, Natalia Jimenez and Pedro Fernandez developed and prepared their teams with the help of celebrity mentor Roberto Tapia. The stage at Universal Orlando Resort witnessed the first five battles with three members from each Coach team who competed against each other by performing the same song together. The results of these Battles were as follows:

From #TeamYankee, competed Daniel Fernandez, Carmen Sanchez, and Katherine Aponte, performing "Can't Feel My Face"

TELEMUNDO's Sunday night reality show "La Voz Kids" gives viewers the opportunity to witness how the stars of the future are discovered and developed by featuring three stages of the singing competition, including the Blind Auditions, Battle Rounds, and Final Phase. During the Blind Auditions, the Coaches decisions are based solely on voice and not on looks. Once the teams are set, the Battle Rounds begin, and the Coaches will dedicate themselves to developing their teams. New this season, the Battles Rounds will include a 'Wild Card' component, where the audience will have the opportunity to save one of their favorite contestants per Coach. The winners of the 'Wild Card' will be revealed in the first Gala of the Final Phase. During the Final Phase of the competition, the television audience will continue to vote, and along with the Coaches, decide who will stay in the competition and who will go home. In the end, only one kid is selected by the viewing audience as the winner of "La Voz Kids," receiving a recording contract with Universal Music and grand prize of $50,000. The winner's family will also be awarded a 2016 Nissan Rogue.
