HOUSTON

While driving home from work one day, author Daphine Priscilla Brown-Jack heard her phone ring. It was her daughter. Allegations had been brought up against her husband, and the police were looking to arrest him. In an instant, Brown-Jack's life had turned upside down.

Brown-Jack's new memoir, "The Other Side of the Story" (published by Abbott Press), chronicles her husband's trials and how Brown-Jack's unwavering faith in God got her through the most difficult challenges of her life.

According to Brown-Jack, her husband was offered plea bargains several times, but he refused to accept them because he was innocent. The case eventually went to trial, taking Brown-Jack, her children and her husband on an emotional roller coaster through the criminal justice system.

Through her story, Brown-Jack aims to impart a message of hope and faith, both of which were essential to surviving this painful time. She hopes her story will remind readers to never give up, no matter how tough the trials may be.
