Spanning four generations of women, two world wars and the communist takeover of Poland, this epic novel begins in the early 1900s and proves an undeniable fact of life: True love never dies. "The Other Side of the Meadow" is a sweeping story of betrayal and fate, overlaid with undertones of paranormal intervention.

Emilia, Daisy, Bella and Fleur are four distinctive women living in different eras. Their lives cross a period of unsurpassed change in the world. As social customs, the political landscape, and technological changes forever rewrite history, these earth-shaking events are overshadowed by the freedoms evolving for the fairer sex.

The story begins when Emilia defies her father's wishes to marry a wealthy man and ends with her great-granddaughter, Fleur. Each woman wears the same family cross that binds their fates together. Each woman exudes a passion for life and is a risk taker, determined to live life on her own terms. The Other Side of the Meadow is simply unforgettable.

Amazon reader review:
"This interesting story kept me hooked from the very dramatic beginning to the surprising end. Mira has succeeded to link a set of love stories in an interesting way to the modern history - a story flowing through many places, many decades, men and women, nobels and labour class, different continents and back to the very same meadow where everything started."
