MAHWAH, N.J.

A person's perceptions on life are usually formed during childhood. This is because childhood is considerably the most impressionable time in a person's life and it is during this time that a person forms his or her personality. In "The Capri Lounge" author Anthony Apruzzese uses his experiences as a child growing up in the tough streets of New Jersey, to create a truly engrossing read filled with intrigue and memorable characters reminiscent of his youth.

It follows a memorable group of characters that run an establishment in the mean streets of New Jersey called the "The Capri Lounge," the bar is a well known hangout for New Jersey's rich and powerful, a paradise where any form of entertainment is possible as long as one can pay for it. Richie is the bar's manager and business has never been better, that is until one of his employees gets killed on the job and starts a chain of events that may have the whole establishment crashing down on their heads.

"The Capri Lounge" captures the flavor of 1960s New Jersey, complete with a cast of realistic characters that add depth and flavor to every page.

Anthony Apruzzese has always appreciated weaving a great tale, and fortunately he has never had a lack of experiences from which to draw upon while conveying his thoughts to paper. Born and raised in Hudson County, New Jersey, there was hardly a scarcity of the stereotypical "hard-edge, smooth-talking, diamond-in-the-rough" character types to whom he frequently refers when creating imaginative and engaging personalities, rife with realism. More often than not, Apruzzese draws upon many of the very same locations he had known and frequented as a youth on the streets of north Jersey and utilizes them as believable and convincing backdrops to his narratives.
