RUSTON, La.

For many years, Steve Hinton intended to write a book and when he worked out a storyline based on Louisiana's cultural history, it all became easier for him. He has always enjoyed the satisfaction of entertaining his audience through the telling of an imaginative full-bodied story. "L'Maudit Mystique" (published by Xlibris) is such a story and the first in a planned series chronicling the family's unusual history and sensational exploits.

This book is about the story of a South Louisiana family comprised of women who have a tragic history going all the way back to their earliest ancestors. For generations, the L'Maudit women have struggled to continue their existence relying on secrecy, cunning and an increasing knowledge of the supernatural.

Marcelle L' Maudit is being pursued in the rural landscapes of South Louisiana by a group of evil intentioned people who are bent on either having her work for them or killing her. In the course of this pursuit, she is aided by Daniel Stevens, a man that she does not know but must decide whether or not to trust if she is to survive.

An entertaining read from beginning to end, "L'Maudit Mystique" is a compelling one-of-a kind story of struggle, mystery, romance, and the classic good versus evil taking place in the wilds of the Louisiana swamp lands.
