Author Janice Gayle examines modern sexuality from a Christian perspective in her new book, "Sex and that City" (published by Trafford Publishing).

"Sex and that City" takes a look at what Gayle says are sexual immoralities prevalent in modern society. She recognizes intercourse as a gift from God, but describes it as one abused in this day and age.

"The book encourages against involvement in immoral sexual behaviors and provides motivation to those who desire to reign in that great city called Heaven," Gayle says.

"Sex and that City" also advocates an honest discussion of sexuality amongst married Christians. Gayle states that sex is an important part of a healthy Christian marriage. She finds many Christians unwilling to recognize the benefits of sex outside of reproduction. She hopes her book will open readers' minds to the positive results of a sexual relationship within God's ordinances.

An excerpt from "Sex and that City":

"Studies have shown that sex is healing, sex is therapeutic, sex is stress-relieving, sex is entertaining and pleasurable, sex burns calories and is a beauty treatment. Sex is God's perfect gift to the man and his wife to seal their love relationship, for them to heal and to enjoy each other's bodies, for them to have fun and to reproduce after their kind."
