SOUTH PORTSMOUTH, KY. - The author Ruth Madden has always believed that there is goodness in all children. And being a textile artist she created "Circles Squares and Other Beasts" (published by Xlibris) as a way to show kids that there is good in everyone.

"Circles Squares and Other Beasts" takes place in block town, where everything was square. The buildings were square, the cars were square, even the people were square. All other shapes were not welcome to block town. That is until one day the round lady arrived and decided to live in block town. Will they accept her into square town or will they shun her like everyone else?

This fun and well crafted book shows kids the importance of being understanding of other people's differences while at the same time learning the joys of reading.
