CHICAGO, IL and NEW YORK, NY - Punk Rock band, DEATH, announced the release of their book "Rock 'N' Roll Victims, The Story Of A Band Called Death: An Autobiography by Bobby Dean Hackney" on April 15, 2015. The book will be available as a digital download on ibooks.com, Amazon, Barnes & Noble and other outlets. Bobby Hackney began his memoir in 2009 preceding the filming of the highly acclaimed film and rockumentary "A Band Called Death" which was released in 2013. "Rock 'N' Roll Victims" chronicles the lives and history of the magical Detroit music scene spanning from the 1950s to 1970s, in which DEATH played a key historical part on the evolution of the industry. Serving as a historic glimpse into the time when Detroit helped change and shape the landscape of American culture that stands to the present day. Bobby Hackney states, "The book will provide generations to come with a window into an amazing span of time during the period of Motown, The Motor City, Detroit Rock, and DEATH! It reads like a story that instantly creates a movie in your mind as you become a witnessing spectator of the Hackney family of Detroit, the band DEATH and Detroit Rock 'N' Roll."

In addition, DEATH is set to release their first studio recorded album since the 70s on April 21, 2015. The appropriately titled LP, "N.E.W." has been anticipated by fans worldwide since last year. The new LP features six songs from the DEATH archive written by David and Bobby Hackney, as well as three new songs written by current DEATH guitarist Bobbie Duncan. A collaboration of the song by the entire band, "Relief" is among one of the first singles released. Distributed by Drag City Records in Chicago, N.E.W. is released under TryAngle Records, which was conceived by the band in 1976 when their first 45 record "Politicians In My Eyes" backed with "Keep On Knocking" was released.

DEATH relaunched their website in April 2015 to create a more engaging online portal for their fans worldwide. Optimized for interaction with the DEATH family, the band's site allows for visitors to leave comments and incorporate photos of their visits and attendance at performances worldwide. The creative process behind "N.E.W." and the book has given them an opportunity to inspire the DEATH family on their journey.
