Robert Brian Edney, a policeman for forty years and a veteran of the Korean War and also a loving husband, father, brother, and son, wrote his book "Two Wooden Hearts" prior to his death: an emotional tale of a man who falls in love during the Korean War and strives to keep his new found family together.

Edney was a policeman for forty years and served in Korea, during the war, as a Marine for four years. Early on he helped his widowed mother, Arlene, with the care and management of the home and his six siblings in Kimmswick, Missouri, where he was raised. Robert married a local girl, Beva June, and raised three daughters. He never saw his book published before his death. His daughters accomplished that dream for him and dedicated "Two Wooden Hearts" to Beva, and their three girls, Donna, Cheryl, and Karen.

Published by New York City-based Page Publishing, Robert Brian Edney's inspiring tale of love blossoming during times of war and the struggle to unite a family exemplifies the human condition and the ability to find love even in the most horrific of times.

Edney's book draws from his first-hand experience of the Korean War and exhibits the dichotomies at play when people are living in a war zone and the difficulties of uniting a family from two very different worlds after the war is over. "Two Wooden Hearts" proves that love does conquer all and there is always hope in spite of terrible circumstances.

Readers who wish to experience this inspiring work can purchase"Two Wooden Hearts" at bookstores everywhere, or online at the Apple iTunes store, Amazon, Google Play or Barnes and Noble.
