HACKENSACK, N.J.

In his newest publication, "Unfinished Journey" (published by Xlibris), author Simon Glustrom delves into the thorny issues of religious faith that trouble not only the laity but also members of the clergy of all faiths, who are reluctant to question whether they honestly believe what they publicly preach.

Partly autobiographical, this book reveals the author's personal journey as he begins to question and even doubt what he was taught to accept as irrevocable truths. In recent years, he has begun to understand what he can comfortably believe while still maintaining his personal integrity as a teacher of religious values and traditions. The rabbi maintains that his "bout with doubt" has helped him develop a more mature understanding of what faith can and cannot achieve for the modern generation.

"Many believers, secularists, and even avowed non-believers, are not immune to discovering refreshing opinions that may enlighten their thinking and point to new vistas," rabbi Glustrom says, "I firmly believe this book can provide a viable approach that they may not have yet considered."

Exploring the problems of religious fundamentalism interfacing with growing disbelief in the efficacy of religion, rabbi Glustrom guides readers and church leaders to look deep within themselves and examine if they really believe what they teach.
