Nicole Curtis, HGTV and DIY Network's "Rehab Addict" star, will sign and discuss her debut memoir, "Better Than New: Lessons I've Learned from Saving Old Homes (and How They Saved Me)" on Friday, November 18 at 7 p.m. at Books-A-Million in Beverly Hills, located at 31150 Southfield Road.

Part memoir and part self-help book, Curtis' "Better Than New" offers readers a raw glimpse into her life as an entrepreneurial single mom who has worked her way from waitress and real estate agent to renovation expert, preservationist and major television star. Working in Detroit and Minneapolis, Curtis has opened her fans' eyes to the beauty of older homes and the value of reclaiming and reusing authentic, original materials, rather than sending dumpster loads to the landfill. The book's eight chapters, each including a lesson Curtis has learned along her journey, will inspire all ages to achieve their dreams and never give up on passionate pursuits. As a special treat for readers, "Better Than New" is chock-full of more than 75 colorful photographs from the "Rehab Addict's" personal collection - ranging from family photos to before-and-after images of the rehabbed homes' interiors and exteriors.

Advanced tickets are required to attend the author event and are available online now at curtisbam.eventbrite.com or can be purchased at the Beverly Hills Books-A-Million store. Tickets include admission to the event and a copy of "Better Than New," which will be distributed to attendees during the event. Curtis will also be available for photo opportunities and to sign personalized copies of her new memoir.
