She found it hard to sleep. She heard voices and sounds that only made her more anxious. She was also suspicious that someone is out to get her. Painful as it may seem, her parents admitted her in a hospital where she was diagnosed with bipolar disorder. Her freshman year at the University of Texas at Austin was tainted by this tragedy. About the Author

As a Vietnamese-American, Rebecca Le grew up very competitive in academics and achievement. She excelled in all subjects from elementary through high school, and was constantly changing her mind about future ambitions. There was one dream, however, that she had always aspired to achieve: authoring a book. But as all books need a story, Le was stumped for a long time on what to write about. Little did she know, the story of her life would prove to be her chance to breakthrough with her first novel and autobiography, "Sweet and Sour."

Le, 26, is now married and living in Plano, Texas, where she writes full time. She hopes to share the on-going story of her life to raise awareness on mental health, not only in the Asian-American community, but across all cultures and countries worldwide.
