From author W. M. Neuman comes a new and action-packed tale of suspense, intrigue and devotion, set in a modern Seattle hospital, where the invisible machinations of a shadowy cabal vying for world domination plays out. When two professors from Kansas discover their secret, after receiving a mysterious box containing genetically modified food grains, the conspirators attempt to silence them. Ending up in the same hospital after being drugged, the professors must turn to the last person they would expect. In turn, Paul must "Risk" (published by Xlibris) everything to do what he knows is right.

The story begins eight years after Paul Cambridge walks out of the jungle and away from his old life working in covert ops for the government. Now, as a Christian chaplain in search of redemption, he risks being pulled back into his old life when a mysterious John Doe is admitted into his hospital. Before dying under questionable circumstances, he leaves Paul with cryptic rhymes of "Prof, you have to stop them" and "Have to protect Katie."

Searching for the truth, Paul follows the clue that Katie is somewhere in the hospital. Running into his old CIA handler, Chris O'Neil, Paul learns that not only are they after the same woman - a Professor Katherine Fields - but also that the groups Chris has been tracking might be the people after Katie. Revealing some of what he knows to Paul about the groups, Chris can only describe them as a live version of the board game "Risk." Paul now faces the toughest decision of his life, whether to risk sliding back into the old life he had with the government in order to protect Katie, or simply walk away.

"Risk" is a tale of mystery, drama, conspiracy and faith as a group of friends struggling to protect the lives of innocent people caught in a lethal game for world domination. Neuman's work will surely keep readers at the edge of their seats from the first page to the very last.
