RE/MAX Co-Founder Dave Liniger's motivational book, "My Next Step: An Extraordinary Journey of Healing and Hope," (Hay House Inc., 2013) has landed a top spot on the New York Times Best Sellers List.

In the May 12 rankings, unveiled at nytimes.com last week, "My Next Step" is No. 7 on the Hardcover Nonfiction list. The rankings will appear in the printed newspaper this Sunday.

"My Next Step" recounts Liniger's determination to "never, ever quit" as he fought through a paralyzing staph infection in 2012. Following seven months of hospitalization and ongoing physical therapy, Liniger continues to recover and improve every day.

"We all go through difficult times in life, and there's a pattern in getting through them," Liniger says. "I was fortunate in having a strong support group and an understanding of that pattern. And I hope my experience helps others."

Readers and reviewers find themselves drawn to Liniger's inner strength and willpower.

"It was clear from the very beginning of the book that Liniger hopes others can learn and benefit from his story," wrote Meg White, Web Producer for REALTOR magazine, in her April 9 review. "I'd recommend this book to anyone enduring a long hospital stay or facing months of PT."

Liniger is donating all proceeds from the book to three nonprofit organizations: Children's Miracle Network Hospitals , Susan G. Komen for the Cure , and the U.S. Paralympics Wounded Warrior Program.
