Author Philip Moses grew up during a time when golf was not even on the map. They played team sports for the most part like baseball, basketball, football and hockey. At the age of 18, Moses realized that these activities were going to come to a screeching halt soon and needed to find something else. So he took up golf. However, there was a problem back then for the athletes in his era. They were ingrained with a "baseball" swing, and that just does not cut it for golf. What could he do?

"The Diary of a 10 to 14 Handicapper" is a collection of notes based on the observations author Philip Moses had made or things he had learned each day that he was on the golf course or at the range. Some of his ideas in this book may or may not be fundamentally sound. Others might be confusing or contradictory. Readers should bear in mind that these were notes he made to himself and were the things that he usually wrote immediately after playing or practicing.

There is also some often repetition involved in these notes, but the thoughts were written over time and pertain to what he had discovered each day. Some minor changes were made in the wording of these notes for the sake of clarity and to have the thoughts make sense. In many cases, the word "relaxed" that has been used in this book may be interchanged with the word "loose."

Golf enthusiasts and players as well will find something in "The Diary of a 10 to 14 Handicapper" that they can grasp and will assist them in improving their game. In the end, nothing motivates a golfer than having a correct mindset and seeing improvement while practicing or playing the game of golf.
