Penguin Group Releases 'Piel de Agua' in Miami

On Thursday, December 5, Penguin Random House is honored to present at Books and Books in Coral Gables "Piel de Agua", a novel written by Spanish novelist, Estrella Flores-Carretero, Psychologist and General Director of "Miguel de Motaigne" Educational Group in Spain and who will be accompanied by an entourage of 30 entrepreneurs from Madrid.

After the overwhelming reception in Spain, Penguin Random House published for the first time in the United States "Piel de Agua" which is now in its third edition in Spain and has received accolades from the prestigious Spanish newspapers such as EL PAIS and EL MUNDO, among other European media.

"Piel de Agua" is the story of a series of women scarred by an intense way of living, feeling and loving who paid a heavy price for doing what did not correspond to their gender or the time when they lived. It is a chronicle of the last century of the history of Spain, through the vicissitudes of brave and struggling women who rebelled against the conventions imposed by society around them, generation after generation, the bitter heartbreak fortune. Several decades later, another woman from the same family fights the same fate that has marked her predecessors and which will turn her, if she does not avoid it, in the heir of an almost inevitable heartbreak.

What: On Thursday, December 5th at 6:30 pm, in her international launch, Estrella Flores-Carretero presents to the public "Piel de Agua" at Books and Books, 265 Aragon Avenue, Coral Gables, Miami.

About Estrella Flores-Carretero: born in Extremadura (Spain). She has a PhD degree in clinical and educational psychology from the Complutense University of Madrid. She has Masters on Transactional Psychology, Educational Psychology, Personality Disorders, and Educational Disorder Management. She is General Director of five Schools in Spain. Founder and coordinator of the Centre for Psychology and Pedagogy in Madrid. She has appeared at EL MUNDO (Cultural) , EL PAIS (Babelia), LA TRIBUNA, DIARIO DE JEREZ, Cadena SER, Cadena Extremadura, among other media.
