Pamela Ree Pearson Shares A HEART OF WISDOM

Coming across the right words at the right time is a powerful elixir to life's darkest of moments. This hard-won wisdom is something Pamela Ree Pearson knows well. After her church moved onto a busy highway, Pearson was charged with creating sayings for the sign board meant to minister to passing motorists. Now in her debut book, "A Heart of Wisdom" (published by Inspiring Voices), she shares a rich collection of proverbs used to adorn her church billboards.

In "A Heart of Wisdom," Pearson relies on years of research, meticulous note-taking and whisperings from the Holy Ghost to share a plentiful array of proverbs. "There is so much negativity everywhere today and people are looking for something they can trust," says Pearson. "God's Word is always available, but many people won't go to the trouble of reading it for themselves. I felt that it might be easier for people to be blessed by words of wisdom in bite size."

A collection that encapsulates over 30 years of amassed sayings, "A Heart of Wisdom" is a heart-felt compilation.

"I know there have been other books on 'church signs' but they are usually done for laughs," says Pearson. "I believe that this book is different because it gives real answers to problems faced today."

Pamela Ree Pearson has been married to Pastor Michael Pearson for over 40 years. Together, they founded the Living Word Church in 1978; in recent years, the church has added a new sanctuary, fellowship hall, and children's education building. She and her husband have lived in Sylacauga, Ala. since 1970.
