The clarity of Antoinette (Hall) Hamilton's great faith in God helps her find a strong inspirational voice in her poetry. She is the author of "Inspirational and Motivational Poetry," a new poetry collection predicated on her wish to help people out of the blues and into the light. This light is God's light and Hamilton knows how to make people see, feel and experience it with her vibrant verse. With it she wishes to uplift and encourage, especially to people who are experiencing or close to violence around the world. By reaching into the past and how things used to be, with people more concerned about spiritual values and reflecting more peaceful thoughts, Hamilton's work pulls in people into a more central, stable side of life.

Hamilton writes her worshipful poetry with a rhythmic, musical quality written in a prosodic meter. Her poems are hymns to the greatness of God's power and grace and the wisdom derived from it. On many poems, life problems are addressed-and they always turn to the Creator for inspiration. On some she muses on life situations with a nostalgic spirit as in the poem "Holiday Blues": "The quiet snow has fallen, and covered all of the ground. I think of all the one's that left...I feel the holiday blues./ When Christmas comes, and songs are sung, I feel a certain air, that makes me feel good that God is near, and I know he'll take away the fear, of being alone, unloved, and blue..." It evokes an earlier time which, although tinged with some sorrow and pain, Hamilton shows to be a positive experience.

Antoinette Hamilton keeps her poetry collection title's promises to inspire and motivate. With it, readers will never be far from God's grace. It burnishes life no matter the circumstances. Hamilton never fails to connect with the human heart in everything she says. It is this which moves her poetry to achieve emotional heights, the better to work towards an always faithful, forward-looking view. The author attributes her spiritual guidance to Pastor Dr. Michael L. Henderson of New Beginnings Community Church located in Charlotte N.C.

This book was featured at the 2013 New York State Reading Association Book Exhibit in Albany, N.Y., last October 27-30, 2013.
