A new book refutes the Big Bang theory. Retired engineering physicist Bobby McGehee presents proof that the formation of the universe did not take place in the way currently supported by the status quo of astronomers and cosmologists.

In his book "Big Bang Problems," McGehee sets to prove his hypothesis. Not only does he refute the idea that the entirety of the universe's matter was contained in a single point, but he also rejects that its continued outward growth is accelerating. In fact, he presents recent data to show it is not expanding at all; it just appears that it is.

"It is now proved and recognized that the Big Bang concept was inferred from misinterpretations of redshift observations first acquired in the early 1910s at Lowell Observatory," McGehee said. "We have had huge discoveries in chemistry and physics since then, such as the existence of positroniums. They have not been incorporated into the theory. This is a huge mistake."

McGehee says it is the discovery of positroniums that began to make sense of the universe's formation. These particles were discovered in the 1930s and not understood until the 1950s. Could the answer to the largest of questions be contained in the smallest of atoms? McGehee says yes.

Accessible to laymen, McGehee's work also includes the math and hard science to back up his assertions for consideration from astronomers, physicists and cosmologists.

"Mankind's valid knowledge must be built on verifiable interpretations of observations and not rely on myth for explanations," McGehee said. "The scientific community and humanity as a whole would benefit so much from open, critical minds."

About the author
Bobby McGehee earned degrees in physics, engineering physics, and education at Oklahoma State University. He then went on to become supervisor for development of laboratory test facilities at The Boeing Co. for aerodynamics, propulsion and mechanical systems. After a career of more than 30 years, he went back to school to study geology and astronomy at Seattle Community College. He began to develop his theory after downloading data catalogues, conducting studies and analyses to arrive at a concept for the origin of the universe that fits both proven facts and the laws of physics.
