"Grieving in pain with no hope to spare I was hurt. Like Naomi in the book of Ruth, I felt as if God had forgotten me. War waged in my soul, too weak to fight, I begged death to visit me. Warring constantly, attrition began to take its toll, corruption and plague so rampant I had lost the taste for life. My wounds were deep, and my scars of abuses were heavy. They were weighing me down," an excerpt from author Simone Rose's new book says. Being at the cross road of death and life, Rose says she was rescued ashore by God, who restored her faith, strengthening her and being with her through an intimate walk that ultimately empowered her to overcome life's adversaries and become a testimony and blessing to others.

"A Faith Journey.....By God For God's People" chronicles Rose's life journey that has been put into writing so that she can widen the ministry she lives for - serving God. In her book, Rose discusses the many pressing matters that happen to almost everyone; people experiencing difficult times that they become so weary and downcast they no longer feel they will be able to continue living. As human, there is the tendency wherein one avoids and escapes problems by simply taking their life or wasting it. With this, Rose reminds readers that the antagonist of life has no respect of financial status, cultural background, ethnicity, race, or color - emphasizing that everyone is not spared form experiencing or going through tough times, that will also look, sound and occur at different times in everyone's life. Therefore, everyone must be strong and be reminded that they still have someone and a cause to continue living.

By sharing her battles and her relationship with God, Rose aims to make each reader see the beauty of life amidst the obstacles, most importantly reminding readers that there is one entity they can lean on and ask help form anytime. With her life and walk of faith depicted in her book, Rose leaves everyone with these words, "From my personal experiences, I know that the only true way of overcoming the worst moment is reaching out to our maker, Lord and savior who is, and was, and is coming, and knowing that God's grace is sufficient for our grieves and pain."
