The seven practices in "Imagine Compassion: The Seven Compassions" (published by Balboa Press) are intended to guide readers toward living a compassion-fueled life, as well as help them choose to act from love rather than fear and lead to greater mind, body and spirit well-being as a result.

"We explore the belief that all our thoughts and actions are motivated by either love or fear. Those motivated by fear cause suffering," authors Munn, Tissot and Wight explain. "The Seven Compassions are practices - tools - that we can put in place to recognize the role fear is playing in our life, how that role is causing us distress and what steps we can take to move from the fear side to the love side."

The authors designed the practices with modern life in mind. Recognizing that most people are working with limited free time, the book offers realistic steps that readers can begin implementing with no training and no "special stuff." The practices are meant to be simple, accessible and transformative.
