Author Merline Guillaume shares a poignant and wonderful chronicling of her younger years through a collection of poems in "Living Joys and Sorrows" (published by Trafford Publishing). This soulful and rhythmical retelling imparts to readers the value of sadness in a positive light, taking lessons from setbacks and knowing that tomorrow brings a new light.

"Living Joys and Sorrows" depicts Guillaume's overall feeling as a teenager going through a challenging transition. Candid and brave, this publication unfolds an interesting and incredible tale of a teenager's life story in poetry form.

"My book is relevant in today's society by alarming other teenagers especially girls to feel comfortable sharing their stories," says the author. "I want readers to take away personal judgment and feelings from it."

The pieces in this book are sure to captivate readers' attention as they witness a transparent and true chronicling of one woman's life straight from the heart.
