Maria Campanella, an ice cream truck owner, writer and now author, has completed her first book "Maria The Ice Cream Girl": a creative and honest biography that details the author's ability to help children and others through who career as the 'ice cream lady.'

"Ice cream has been our family business since the 1940's. My father, 'Chubby The Ice Cream Man', started off on a Good Humor Pushcart. He then used an ice cream bicycle until enlisting in the Army. When he came out, he bought his own ice cream truck, and we have services the same route since. Throughout the 32 years in my ice cream truck, I recall countless service experiences that went far beyond selling ice cream. Some required immediate thought and full attention. I recall situations like putting out a small fire in bushed, or picking up injured elderly people," said author Maria Campanella. "My ice cream truck has brought me places far beyond my imagination and has given me the opportunity to help so many people. However, our journey is far from over. The whole world needs to know that my truck came from the greatest man, who taught me how to love and give. I'm glad he loved what he did and I'm grateful to be able to do what I love doing. This truck was his life's mission and now it is mine. I love what I do with all of my heart and I have so much more to give."
