Linda K. Hubalek Releases STITCH OF COURAGE

As we observe the 150th anniversary of the battles of Gettysburg, Fort Wagner, and others fought during the summer of 1863, we remember the soldiers fighting on the battlefields. The book Stitch of Courage by Linda K. Hubalek portrays the women left at home during this time frame, hearing about the Civil War battles and worrying about the family members that were in the midst of these fights.

This historical fiction book, Stitch of Courage, is based on true stories of the author's ancestors and written in the form of letters that draw you into the emotions of a young woman during these turbulent times.

Although the Civil War mainly took place in the Eastern part of the United States, the Plains states also endured their share of battles and tragedy.
