CHRISTCHURCH, New Zealand

Judy Boyd has recently released an autobiography describing the events of what she calls "a fortunate life." Shining with the author's sense of gratitude, "Our Fortunate Lives" (published by Xlibris NZ) is a true testament of the indomitable human spirit.

Boyd has been working on her autobiography for at least 16 years. It is not just a story that she wishes to preserve for posterity, it is the realization of her dream of becoming a writer. Boyd, who was born in Mataura in Southland, takes readers through successive phases of her life, from her childhood to her training and careers, her transformation to wife and mother and, finally, to where she is today, a place of gratitude and fulfillment.

To Boyd's family and friends, her personal memoir will serve as a treasured family heirloom and to outsiders it is a lighthearted glimpse into what life is like in New Zealand. "Our Fortunate Lives" is a true story of a woman who dared to chart her destiny in the world and the lives that she touched along the way.
